Sorry about the delay – I know I have needed to post pictures for awhile, but I was missing the cord to my camera. It had been lovingly placed in a “safe place” by my cleaning buddy. I have now found the cord (behind the end table, under the couch), and will be posting pictures from our latest adventures soon. The semester got off to a very busy start, but we have finally reached a (short) lull. I hope to have posts up soon.
Me: “Come on Isaac, let’s go run an errand.”
Isaac: “Where are we going?”
Me: “We are going to Babies R Us.”
Isaac (in a very serious tone): “Yes. Babies R Us.” (pause) “To get more babies.”
Hmmm…I don’t think so…
After 7 years of marriage, 2 kids, 3 addresses, and (almost) 4 graduate degrees, we figured it was probably time to start a website so that all of our family and friends can have a glimpse into our busy lives. (Also – we need to start transferring our pictures onto our own domain, in preparation for life after Austin.)
Why Est Quod Est? It is the Latin translation of “It is what it is”, which is a phrase Brad and I use often. Why Latin? Because we are Catholic, academic, and Latin seemed to give weight to the name of the site. That, and the “Itiswhatitis” domain name was already taken. The phrase can drive our families a bit crazy, but so often, it sums up exactly what is going on in our lives, for better or worse!
